In His Grip

The Spirit lifted me and took me away. I went bitterly and angrily. I didn’t want to go. But God had me in his grip. Ezekiel 3:14

Once in a while God’s will for us is not what we’d always dreamed of. Ezekiel is a rarity but something like this could happen from time to time in our lives. We may be chosen to deliver an unpleasant message. And this is a time when God causes someone to go. Ezekiel didn’t want to go but in God’s grip how could he say no? When God let go Ezekiel had a choice and he chose obedience. There was a leader in a church I went to who signed his correspondence “In His Grip.” To me that indicates a willingness to do anything God asks of him no matter how  unpleasant. The only answer is yes, Lord.
