Phil 3:8 More than that I consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Maybe the surpassing value is what the following quote says…
When we grow in God’s presence – when we live as though we are thoroughly and constantly aware of Him – we find that healing flows from our prayers and our hands in increasing measure; that our vision of eternal truths and purposes comes to the screen of our minds much more often; and that the treasure within us burns brighter than all the circumstances around us. ~ Chris Tiegreen
That sounds to me like someone who knows Jesus. Not like my relationship with Him…a few times a week for a few minutes. But it sounds like someone who spends time with Him, someone who asks Him what to do next and follows heavenly instructions. In order to love and to heal he has to be loved himself. He has to know Jesus’ love for him and His healing forgiveness which requires humble confession. And he has to go out and sell all he has for the treasure so it will burn within him brightly.
I hunger to be there. I don’t believe it’s an overnight zap. I believe it’s a day after day of getting lost in knowing Him, not making it top priority but the only priority. For some reason when our only priority is Jesus and knowing Him other people benefit from the love and healing He has given to us.
