Every time we think of you, we thank God for you. Day and night you’re in our prayers as we call to mind your work of faith, your labor of love, and your patience of hope…1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3
It is clear to us, friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special. 1 Thessalonians 1:4
Faith’s work is sowing; it’s believing what you do matters to Jesus and makes a difference on earth. A labor of love is when you sacrifice all that you are to help those in need whether spiritually or materially. Patience of hope is saying the fruit of your labor is worth waiting on and praying for.
Someone or a church of someones that can live life like the people above have a devotion that can only come from heaven. Paul says it is clear God put His hand on them for a reason.
I feel like we need to pray God’s hand on us. There’s all kinds of confusion and hate in the world and we have issues with each other in the Church. We were called when it’s boiled down to basics to love God with all our heart and each other as ourselves. Love. I need God’s hand on me so that my hard heart melts and it can be poured out as an offering to Him and to my neighbor.
