Ransomed

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:9-11 NASB)

God wrapped up His baby tight in wrags, instead of a blanket, and He handed little Jesus to the world to hold in their arms for a time. We each have the opportunity to hold the baby and find out about that miracle of Life. Life comes from giving yourself away, or loving. Is it love because we love the baby or because God gave His Son first? Love was given to us by God first. Since He passed the baby to us we need to pass Jesus to others, giving ourselves away.

This Son came to pay the price for, or to wash away our sin. He ransomed us from the Accuser who had us captive. No rescue could be sweeter. So, again, God loved us, we should pray for and do what our part is to give ourselves away..
