A Prayer for Peace

The following is not meant to resemble anyone or their situation. It is fiction.

Lord, my two sons haven’t spoken for years. One is easy going and makes us laugh and cooks for us the other does the repairs around his mom and dad’s house when we need it and solves our business dilemmas. Whatever is the major issue Heavenly Father that they can’t enjoy each other’s differences?

Their mom is asking You by the blood of my Savior to bring them near to each other and to us. Make us one Lord. The reason I ask you is that Your word says Jesus is our peace.  Peace and gentleness in the middle of our family  is what we need. There’s no peace between my two boys and that breaks a mama’s heart. Lord the wall between them is spiritual. It has nothin to do with repairs or cooking. It has everything to do with their hearts being callous to you. Break down the walls Lord. Restore our family and let us all four take refuge within your wings. Thank You Lord. I love you

But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, (Ephesians 2:13, 14 NASB)
