And the man said: This one, at last, is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh; this one will be called “woman,”for she was taken from man. This is why a man leaves his father and mother and bonds with his wife, and they become one flesh. (Genesis 2:23, 24 HCSB)
The man must have gone through a lot of animals because he said ah, at last! Bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. She wasn’t just a part of him. She was intricately woven from within him. Bone of my bone. Flesh of my flesh. She was an intimate one with feelings like him and she was his. He leaves his family to be close to her and know her.
Bear with me. …. but this picture is why or one reason why there are some people upset about our gay friends getting married. The first place intimacy, physical, emotional, mental was sacred and where it occurred was man to woman, woman to man.
Bottom line is we as Christians point our finger at what is wrong rather than relating one on one or one to group the fact that when Jesus died He set up the most intimate relationship there can be and the most sacred, between He and us. And that relationship is found at a Seat of Mercy. If there was anyone out there hungry would they be able to see Jesus and His mercy for them or just hear that they are wrong?
Our fight is not against flesh and blood. We all have one Enemy seeking to destroy us all. I feel like we should be battling him on our knees not each other with our tongues.
