11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. 12 Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance. Hebrews 6:11, 12
Keep on loving others as long as life lasts…I don’t have children. I listened to a beautiful interview last night of Sarah Mae. It was difficult to love her children God’s way but she was in the process of loving them sacrificially.
How does a single girl love sacrificially? I don’t even have a dog or a bird to meet its needs. I love to pray, and that’s important but that hardly seems like an act of sacrificial love. I’m not really a Mother Teresa who loves the poor so graciously. I give samples of makeup out, i offer a makeover for free to those who’d like. That’s a little bit of love a single girl can do.
Do you have any ideas? How can those of us who are single, no children, learn to really love?
Savior, we want to love your way, sacrificially. We’re just not able without you. Speak your wisdom to us. And show us the individual way we were meant to love. Thank you, Lord. Donna
