Hosanna! Means save, rescue and maybe Savior. In this verse at this place in Your life they were going to crown you a royal King. That wasn’t your plan. Your plan was the cross. But as imperfectly, incorrectly, and unaware they were you said let them cry out or the rocks will. Lord, you are so gracious to us. Our walk is so unsteady and we take off in wild directions but you scoop us up and stop the heavens so we can praise you with a lisp and great charm.. I love you because of your grace and nearness to your children.
So, God said you don’t have to worry your King comes on a foal of a donkey. So gentle, humble. Peace.
I love you Savior.
The next day the huge crowd that had arrived for the Feast heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem. They broke off palm branches and went out to meet him. And they cheered: Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God’s name! Yes! The King of Israel! Jesus got a young donkey and rode it, just as the Scripture has it: No fear, Daughter Zion: See how your king comes, riding a donkey’s colt. (John 12:12-15 MSG)
