We receive gifts on our birthday, or Christmas.Sometimes we get a Valentine gift or a Mother’s Day gift. These gifts are usually useful, maybe romantic and they are symbols of love. They speak of love between friends, children and moms or boyfriend and girlfriend.
There’s a unique gift though. It’s given once in a lifetime, not always but ideally. It’s an engagement ring. The reason this is unique is that the giver of the ring pledges his life and love forever to the recipient.
When You gave your life on the cross and came back to life it was a gift pledging your life and love for eternity to me. There is no other gift as valuable, as sweet, as sacrificial, or as powerful. You bought me Lord. I give you me and I’m yours.
