And she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was listening to His teaching. (Luke 10:39 AMP)
All life long we have pointed, urgent, life questions. We all if we love You have the privilege of asking You. You have the privilege of giving us an answer to our question or You often show us a facet of Your love to soothe the hole the question has left. You’re sweet and give us of Your sweetness.
Mary found herself in Your normally very crowded presence with no one to interrupt. Mary may have been someone that You, Jesus cast many evil tormentors from. It’s possible she had some powerful, heart wrenching questions. She may have asked her pointed, urgent life questions. She may not have needed to. You have a way of ministering to us with what we need so that questions would have been unnecessary and an interruption to the warmth and calm with which You were filling her ravaged heart.
I love You, Lord.
