Teach Me How to Walk, Lord

Watch a loving Daddy. He says “come here baby, take a few steps and I’ll whisk you up in my arms and give kisses.” Then he begins all over again with more steps.

Yet I taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by their arms or taking them up in My arms, but they did not know that I healed them. I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love, and I was to them as one who lifts up and eases the yoke over their cheeks, and I bent down to them and gently laid food before them. (Hosea 11:3, 4 AMP)

Israel had been loved. Not fly-by-night love, not give me what you have love, but I love you and will care for you and watch over you the rest of your life kind of love. God had even eased their days of work and burdens. Then He bent down, coming down to their level to be in their hearts and feel their feelings. And He gently, so as not to scare them because He is a holy, righteous God, gave them nourishment.
