A Tiara

BLESS the (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; (Psalm 103:1, 4, AMP)

We can be affectionate with the God of the universe. We can cry on His shoulder, we can laugh with Him at all He’s done for us. Most of all we can bring out the depths of us, the heart of hearts of us, and thank Him and Praise Him.

I’ve been in the pit, a dark, miserable scary place. Have you been in a pit? He redeems us from there. He lifted me out gently by the love of a few friends and family. It wasn’t overnight but it was loving. For us single girls, he beautifies us with lovingkindness and His tender mercy. I could always use more beauty. His beauty may be inner beauty, however inner pretty becomes outer pretty.

I have a friend who wears a birthday tiara each year while she runs her errands and people treat her like a princess. I love that. On a special occasion we could use a little pampering. Well our Lord crowns us with tender mercy. So our hearts on the days he places that crown there it’s to help us live with tender mercies for others each moment that day, And also to be pampered by His tender mercies for us.

  1. When they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, sin entered in. Sin corrupted everything. And at that point, it was God’s absolute love and most tender mercy that ushered Adam and Eve out of the Garden. Not His anger or retaliation.
